Building the Budget

Warchest budgets are organized by:

  • Departments — broad categories like Admin, Field, Salaries, or Finance

  • Line Items — specific expenses under each department (e.g. Office Rent, Healthcare)

Once you've added your departments and line items

  • Add projections for each expense by date

  • Click on a date to move projections within the month

  • Split projections across multiple days (e.g. salary on the 15th and 30th

  • Set monthly recurring projections for ongoing costs
